I am completely happy with the Blue Boa plate because it's dark enough not to cause eye strain from light/dark contrast, it's a subtle pattern instead of a solid, and the blue is just amazing - it's everything I've ever wanted from the color blue. No joke.

The colors of the faceplates do not come through on my monitor like they do in person, I guess because it's a 2D/3D problem, and lighting can make all the difference. I liked the Silver Snake plate better onscreen than I do in reality because the contrast just doesn't work for my eyes.

My perspective on productivity and price: Several people commented that the color faceplates were the deciding feature in purchasing an M series Palm over other models. I truly believe the faceplates enhance productivity because they touch an aesthetic or feeling (or inner toddler) or whatever that triggers positive thoughts about the device in general, so you use it more and it gains greater value in your life.

At least, thats what I think.

i like the new palm, it is a good device with a handsome, contemporary design that appeals to the younger and techno-illeterate buying market. Today, people have money to throw away, and this is something to throw away into.
